"I Can Do It Better!"

So, you've played 3030 for years and years and you think you have enough experience and willpower to run it yourself, but better? More power to you! The BattleTech MU* community moves forward on innovation by people who have the skill and time to work on something new. That's how 3030MUX got started. That's how the next great thing will get started.

First, though, let me offer you some advice and a warning:

It is not easy to do this. It will take a large portion of your time, energy, and will to live. In my experience, most of the MU*s that get started either never finish or close less than a month after opening.

Still want to do it? Well, ok. I guess I'll tell you now that it is, of course, a very rewarding experience, and well worth the effort! =)

The 3030MUX source code is now an open-source project, hosted at Sourceforge.net. The project can be reached at btech.sourceforge.net.

Above all, we wish you good luck in your project. We like to hear from fellow administrators in the community, too, so log on to 3030MUX and let us know how it is going.

This is the end of "I can do it better!" (Appendix E).
